What is a Park Model?

Park Models are recreation vehicles primarily designed as temporary living quarters for recreation, camping or seasonal built on a single chassis, mounted on wheels and have a gross trailer area not exceeding 400 square of living area.  They can be located within RV Parks and Campgrounds, as well as on private property.  They are NOT mobile homes.

Is financing available?

Adirondack Kabins works with several lending institutions that can provide you with financing assistance.  Park Models are financed just like an automobile or traditional RV.  Many customers will use a home equity loan on their primary home to obtain favorable interest rates and ability to deduct interest.

How are Park Models transported?

8' wide park models are towable without special highway permits.

12' wide park models must be transported by a professional trucking company.  Special highway permits are required from each state in which it travels.  Adirondack Kabins coordinates the arrangement of the delivery of the unit to your property.

Do you site the Park Model once it is delivered?

Currently Adirondack Kabins does not provide this service.  Setting up the unit can be done by the customer or a local contractor typically in less than a day.

Do I need electrical, water and sewer/septic on my property?

Yes, these utilities must be in place in order to use the Park Model on your property.

Can floor plans be modified?

Yes, we can customize floor plans to meet your specific requirements.

Can I visit the plant?

Yes.  We encourage our customers to visit our facility
